In a series of linking, sitcomesque episodes, these two female performers provide us with a buffet of characters in a typically urban setting. Among their targets are a frustrated married couple finding it difficult to agree on anything, two ladies who secretly dress up and act out the Queen’s Coronation and a bouquet of other colourful scenes. The character-based comedy is accurately conceived, making the suspension of belief easy and enjoyable. These sketches are hilarious in execution and are never tiresome. The hour flew past and left the audience ready for more. The real creative talent comes in the observant creation of the characters which are original, which might explain why they are so resonant.
Audience participation is important to these performers, and their ability to improvise and keep the show going in an off the cuff fashion is one of the most enjoyable sections of the show as it features a very peculiar and very funny little woman with an eye for younger men. This is a very funny, original and extremely entertaining show that you would be a fool to miss.
These are two gifted comedy performers who will almost certainly go far and will be even more popular next festival. See them now while tickets are still available.
