Tina C’s Manifesto Show

2004

White Trash has never shone so bright as Tina C does on stage. In her diamante and sequins she is a sparkling vision of country kitsch glamour, and man can she work it!

This show is the next evolutionary step in the transformation of Tina C from her humble beginnings as a sweet Nashville country singer breaking forth unto the fringe a few years ago, to the hardened Rhinestone Republican we see before us today. Tina C truly is the queen of black humour!

Tina’s show is the best parody of American Imperialism you are ever likely to see. Her self declared ‘World Tour/ Mission of Peace’ is this Country Diva’s one-woman crusade to rid the world of anti-American sentiment.

She takes you on a hilarious, though utterly politically incorrect journey into American propaganda. The range of material she covers is staggering, and as she offers up the simple and innocent explanations behind America’s wartime and domestic atrocities you will find yourself horrified by what you are laughing at.

The Manifesto Show is an impressive piece of work and is the crowning glory on an already stunning Fringe career. I could find no flaw or lull in her performance. From her loving interaction with her audience to her faux-naïveté, Tina C’s show is pure comic gold.

5/5
