Ballerina Who Loves A B-Boyz

2007

Ballerina who loves a B-boy is a show with a romantic story behind it, as you can probably tell by the name.

This dance performance is truly something special. Never mind all these other dance performances with love and passion in it, this one has fun humour and most importantly great dance sequences. Although the acting skills of the performers have something to be desired for, it makes no difference when they all break out into the many different types of hip hop and break dance that they can.

The ballet pieces in the show are very well done as the girls look like professional dance students which is meant to be the case. Therefore it gives the show more believability than if they where completely high in their performance level. Although these dancers are very good at the three types of dance they use in the show, ballet, hip hop and the brief sections when the Ballerina who loves a B-boy does a break dance move or two, their lack in acting skills at points in the show, does not make the show any less fun or engrossing.

This well deserved 5 star show is a great play to go see with your family and friends, it is an uplifting and happy show with phenomenal break dance pieces and scenes. This Ballerina should not to be missed.

5/5
