Tap Olé

2007

Tap Olé, a show on the up! Not only do they have the most talented Spanish guitar players but also the most energetic and enthusiastic tap dancers that have ever been in Edinburgh. These performers have something that no one else has, they have passion, enjoyment of each performance, great technique and most importantly they know how to control the audience.

Each piece of music is either played by a guitar or by the dancer’s feet, the beat that comes from each one of them has you bobbing your head in your seat, with your jaw dropped at how fast the dancer’s feet are moving and how fast the guitarists’ fingers can move.

Although this show is just tap and guitar it really does not get tiring. The performers have such a buzz about them when they’re on stage, that it transpires to the audience, and their cheeky smiles in their faces makes them even more amusing.

Yes, there are only four performers, two tapers and two guitarists, which does make the show feel longer than it is, 1 hours 10 minutes, as you are always seeing the same guys on stage, but it makes no difference because they keep their energy levels sky high to give you the best show they can. Not a show to miss if you’re feeling in the mood for something a bit Latino. Olé!
