The Circus Of Horrors

2007

The Circus Of Horrors really is a horror to watch! And not in the good way… Seeing tricks and things that have been done before in an empty circus tent is really not the best fun you could have on a festival night. While one guy putting spikes through his cheeks and lifting a barrel off the floor with hooks that are hanging from his back is rather impressive, the rest is just a boring.

Seeing a number of bad actors roaming around stage in “scary” costumes is not the most riveting thing. A midget doing his necessities in a potty and then throwing it at the audience is not really the best kind of humour one can get at this type of act. Even the magic tricks used in the show are very obvious and boring. People dressing up inside a tent doing simple magic tricks should not be called a show. Or a Horror Show!

In the second half things start to get a lot more interesting with some acrobatic tricks, performed by two priests and a girl who the ring leader proceeds to ‘kill’. The skills these people have are amazing, and the piece is very well performed, making it the best thing in the whole hour and a half show.

In conclusion, if you are into pointless circus acts, bad acting, unsatisfying magic tricks and a rather dull act in general then The Circus Of Horrors is for you.
