Deep in the basement of The Zoo venue something magical is happening. You, the audience, learn how to juggle! It might not come straight away but you do get your chance to play with the juggling balls.
Though an interactive show for kids is no easy task (since children are, without a doubt the toughest crowd a performer can ever encounter), Frisco Fred succeeds exactly at this. He juggles, he balances his hat, he jumps through a gigantic cowboy lasso … His tricks might not be all that original (apart from when he catches a snooker ball with his head, or juggles three balls… with three hands!), but it is his great personality that engages both kids and adults alike. Though the show is thought for children, all ages will find some fun in this one hour show, with Frisco Fred making some ‘adult’ (non-sexual) jokes for their amusement.
But the best part is left for the last 15-20 minutes. The audience are asked to go to the centre of the stage, and learn how to juggle themselves. As much as Frisco Fred can entertain, seeing 40-plus parents, 70-plus grandparents, and kids alike learning to juggle is a fantastic treat. Go, enjoy Frisco Fred’s show, and learn to juggle. Parental Warning: juggling is addictive, you might want to hide your valuables around the house for some days after the show. The kids need to practice!
