Irish Fringe icon Jason Byrne’s has returned to the Festival, bringing with him more wonderful, hilarious anecdotes about his life, his childhood and, best of all, ranting constantly about arguments with his wife. Byrne is comedic dynamite, and once he blows there is no stopping him.
From his opening banter with the audience right through to a brilliantly anarchic botched magic show finale, he has the audience rolling in the aisles, never once letting them stop to catch their breath, as he launches into hilarious and loveable anecdotes about rubbish trips to Disney world, getting old or what would happen if your penis made a shot gun sound when you touched it.
Byrne always gives a thousand percent in his routine, and is always fully in control on when to knock another note perfect joke on the eager crowds. He never misses a beat, delivering a solid hour of great stand up gags and even better on the spot banter with the crowds, for Byrne unscripted really is a sight to behold. Manically leaping from one subject to the next, be it trying to start a war between audience members from Sydney and Melbourne or wringing some great laughs about males and how they define their best friends, effortlessly.
As wonderful, enjoyable and just plain brilliant as ever, make sure you grab a ticket.
