Winner of last year’s If.Comedy newcomer award, Manchester born Sarah Millican has come a long way in a very short space of time. Her show is based around the themes of what constitutes as a typical man and a typical woman. A subject matter that is filled with intelligent observations on the sexes and through discussing her opinions reveals Millican as a filthy, dirty and quite adorable woman made all the more entertaining as she delivers her rapid fire jokes in that infamous giggly, Geordie accent.
Innocent and nervous one minute, ballsy and defiant the next you never quite know what Millican is going to say. Be it discussing text sex, boys and their love of Star Wars, her boyfriend and all his stereotypical behaviour or why she could never be a lesbian, she effortlessly flits between subject matters always keeping a warm, chatty and hilarious control of the audience that has just the right amount of depravity.
The audience are one hundred percent behind Sarah Millican at all moments, roaring with laughter to such a point that one woman in the front row actually spits out her drink over the front of the stage! It takes one hell of a comedian for that to happen and Millican is indeed one of the best out there.
A wonderful, gut busting hour, which would be rather silly to miss.
