Let’s face it the Free Fringe is at best a mixed bag, right or wrong your expectations are never too high when you know that there isn’t a hefty ten pound ticket price. What a surprise then for Its Got Jokes In It, which puts many comedy shows to shame.
The format is simple, one hour, three comedians each coming on and delivering a short, sharp set and a whole lot fun. Young Hannah George, gets the crowds going with her manic, wide eyed, frantic delivery, discussing some surprisingly filthy subject matter for the middle of the day, her comedic style while amateur has some real gut busting belly laughs and her off script audience banter is surprisingly quick and astute. Katie Wilkins follows next, beautiful with an acid tongue she dryly tells great little stories about talking dirty to her boyfriend though looses focus by the end reading quotes from the autobiography of Richard Madeley for reasons that are never quite explained. Finally Lou Sanders gives a nice, well rounded routine full of embarrassing true life stories and observations.
Rude, fast paced and very funny, Its Got Jokes In It, is well worth a look.
