Very well spoken, Posh Jack Whitehall explodes on the stage, well more like skips and hops in to the venue. The setting is intimate, the show is honest: A true and very funny take on learning from mistakes in life.
Whitehall remains bitter but humorous, as he takes us though such topics as his noble upbringing, Robin Hood, Barbie and his constant upstaging from fellow high school student and twilight star Robert Patterson. Camp antics and slightly over-dramatic story telling has the audience on the edge of their seats.
The show takes an unexpected turn and get very serious and formal mid way through. Jack describes his Newspaper scam and the reactions and disappointments from friends and family members in regards to his recreational “one of” drug swindle. At this point you may forget that you are at a comedy gig and think you’re at a university lecture, although the vivid change in atmosphere brings the show full circle and makes Jack’s Comedy work. At points Jack’s mannerisms seem to be a bit familiar, similar to those of Michael Mcintyre’s.
This show can’t be faulted: From start to finish you will be entertained, charmed, shocked, and reflective!! Hold on to your chairs and get ready for this world wind adventure and get yourselves down to the Pleasance Courtyard before you have to Queue 20 miles to go and see this young talent!
