Offering one of the Free Fringe’s rare delights, ‘Kabarett’ gives viewers a chance to see high value performers performing snippets from their acts. While it could be argued that variety shows like ‘Kabarett’ are essentially advertisements for other shows this is not a bad thing. With the plethora of acts showing at the fringe it is often hard to discover interesting acts without a significant investment in time and money.
‘Kabarett’ very rarely houses substandard acts and while there is an occasional act that stands out badly, there are just as many that will astound. Featuring 6-8 acts a night with comedy, burlesque and musical acts there is certain to
be something for everyone although it helps to have a liberal mindset as there will be a lot of variety.
‘Kabarett’ is renowned for having guest stars pop up out of the blue. Unafraid to place newcomers on the same stage as veterans and international stars, ‘Kabarett’ is the best source in Edinburgh for alternative talent. Now offering both an evening and a midnight show ‘Kabarett’ should be a regular feature of any Cabaret Fringe fans.
