Morgan and West prove themselves to be the Gentlemen masters of sleight of hand with their impressive show, ‘Clockwork Miracles’. Set around the conceit of being Victorian performers in the modern world, Morgan and West infuse an aura of civility whether engaging in juggling, transformation tricks or mind reading. Their act is enthralling as they perform in a gentle and light hearted manner that is suitable for all ages.
While some of their sleight of hand is more obvious than others, for the most part they excel in breathing new life into the classic magician’s repertoire they employ. Preferring a surprise reveal, they dazzle the audience by putting fresh twists on classic misdirection’s that seem to come from nowhere.
As an act, Morgan and West use a very natural and friendly
demeanour utilising the classic combination of the one nice and one clever character duality. Morgan and West balance their individual acts by revelling in their created personas, and some of their more comedic moments have the audience in stitches while at no point do the characterisations feel forced.
It is hard to find fault with Morgan and West, but the experience of the audience will vary dependant on the seats that are available for any given show. Arrive early as the view from the back is certainly not as impressive as this show warrants and it would be a shame to miss a moment.
